Popular Science Activity
IRC-CNR is involved since 2013 in many national and local activities of popular science.
The goal is to promote scientific culture, to spread knowledge, to create curiosity around the world of research, to draw young people to science and engineering and to involve all the people in the importance that basic and applied research has for our society.
In order to reach this goal, IRC equipped itself over the years with bench experiments and small, more or less complex, prototypes and, with the participation of researchers, technicians, graduate students and fellows of the Institute, presented its research activities both at local and national scientific events and in schools at all levels.
The responsible and scientific coordinator of IRC popular science activity is dr. Barbara Apicella (e-mail: apicella@irc.cnr.it; Tel.: 081/7682254).
The list of all the popular science activities performed by IRC is attached.
